Vrundavan Plantation Ltd was initially established as 'Vrundavan Plantation Private Limited' on December 26, 2022, by the Assistant Registrar of Companies, under the jurisdiction of the Registrar of Companies, Central Registration Centre. Subsequently, it underwent a transformation into a public limited Company and rebranded as 'Vrundavan Plantation Limited', with a new certificate of incorporation issued by the Registrar of Companies, Ahmedabad, dated June 5, 2023.
The Company's Promoter and Managing Director, Mr. Upendra Tiwari, laid the foundation in 1997 with the establishment of a proprietorship named M/s. Vrundavan Nursery & Plantation. This venture aimed at selling plants (nursery) to combat deforestation and preserve green spaces. Recognizing the growing demand for landscaping and gardening services, Mr. Tiwari expanded operations by recruiting manpower to offer garden, landscaping, and rooftop garden services. Today, concepts like landscape, rooftop gardening, and avenue plantations, including online plant purchases, have become significant components of the business.
After two years of operating as a nursery business, Mr. Tiwari expanded services to include annual maintenance contracts from various organizations, initially limited to Ahmedabad. Following successful years in maintenance services, the proprietor ventured into garden development contracts. From the fiscal year 2001, the company secured numerous contracts from reputed infrastructure companies for developing and maintaining projects in Ahmedabad. A milestone contract from Reliance Engineering Associates Private Limited in the fiscal year 2004-05 marked a significant achievement. Since then, the company has undertaken contracts with numerous prestigious organizations across India, diversifying its business beyond the nursery segment.
In the nursery business, their product range includes Big Trees, Shrubs, Ground Covers, Climbers, and Indoor Plants. They trade in a variety of pots and gardening tools, along with essential accessories and inputs like plant foods, organic pesticides, and potting mixes. In the service segment, they offer lawn mowing, brush and jungle cleaning, hedge trimming, and watering services for roadside plants, catering to both private and government clients. Notably, from 2019 to 2021, Mr. Tiwari, through his proprietorship named M/s. Vrundavan Nursery & Plantation (former), implemented the Miyawaki Tree Plantation method for afforestation along the Sabarmati riverbank.
