Established in 1992 as Swastika Fin-Lease Ltd and later renamed Swastika Investmart Ltd, the company was promoted by Mr. Sunil Nyati of the Swastika group, a business conglomerate with roots dating back to 1959 in Rajasthan. In 1995, the company issued 1.5 million equity shares at Rs. 10 each, aggregating to Rs. 15 million, and became listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), specializing in stockbroking and capital markets activities.
Initially focused on hire purchase and lease finance, the company ventured into stockbroking in 1998 as a sub-broker. With growing experience and customer satisfaction, it obtained corporate membership of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) in 2000 and BSE in 2004. Subsequently, it became a Depository Participant with CDSL in 2006.
In 2007, the company acquired membership of commodity exchanges NCDEX and MCX through its subsidiary, Swastika Commodity Pvt. Ltd. It also gained corporate membership in currency derivatives with NSE and MCX-SX in 2008. In 2009, it started offering Portfolio Management Services after SEBI registration. By 2010, the company expanded its depository services to include NSDL, and it also became a member of USE and ICEX. In 2011, it added membership of NCDEX Spot Exchange.
