In January 1992, the company conducted a rights issue of 15.75 lakh equity shares at a premium of Rs 40 each, totaling Rs 7.88 crore. The funds raised were used to partially finance a Rs 11 crore project aimed at establishing a new spinning mill with 14,400 spindles in Pollachi, Tamil Nadu. This new unit commenced production in 1994 and has since gained a reputation for producing high-quality yarn commanding premium prices in the market.
Despite facing challenges such as a general recession in the textile industry and relaxed restrictions on the import of second-hand textile machinery, the company has increased its rotor capacity by 216 units. In 2001, the Agency Division secured an agency for selling textile machinery manufactured by M/s Textool Company Ltd. The company is actively working on enhancing productivity, quality, and cost efficiency within this division.
Of the three units within the Textile Division, two are involved in the production of grey yarn. The unit in Pollachi operated at optimal capacity throughout the year, and the company anticipates improved performance in the coming years compared to the previous year.
The company underwent a name change from 'Super Sales Agencies Limited' to 'Super Sales India Limited' in 2004-05. Subsequent investments included the installation of four Autoconers at Jay Textiles Unit I in 2005, the addition of two TFO Twisters and modernization of 12 Ring Frames at Jay Textiles Unit II. Additionally, in March 2008, the company installed a 1650 KW Wind Mill costing Rs. 11.05 Crore, followed by the installation of two 1500 KW Wind Energy Generators (WEG) in March 2010. In 2010-11, the Agency Division established a training center in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, aimed at enhancing the technical skills of mill personnel. Furthermore, the company replaced 12 old Wind Energy Generators (WEG) with new machines at Kammalapatti and Vadavedampatti wind farms, reducing maintenance costs. Operations of the Gears unit commenced in July 2010. Finally, in 2019-20, the company invested Rs 14.96 Crore to modernize spinning machines with new compact spinning systems, resulting in a 90% increase in total spindleage.
