Ranjeet Mechatronics Limited was initially established as a private limited company named 'Ranjeet Electric Private Limited' in Ahmedabad on June 10, 1993. The company underwent a name change from 'Ranjeet Electric Private Limited' to 'Ranjeet Mechatronics Private Limited' on February 3, 2016. Following the conversion from a private to a public company, it became 'Ranjeet Mechatronics Limited' on May 28, 2018.

In 1949, Late Shree Vallabbhai B. Swadia, the father of one of the promoters, Mr. Rakesh V. Swadia, founded M/s. Ranjeet Electric and Engineering Corporation. This firm, established post-independence, served as an authorized distributor for companies involved in irrigation systems, specializing in electric motor pumps and related spares. Mr. Rakesh Swadia joined his father's business at a young age, gaining insight into its operations.

Over time, the firm formed partnerships with Kirloskar Brothers Limited, becoming an authorized dealer for various electric products, especially electric motor pump sets and spares. In 1993, to formalize the business, Late Vallabhbhai Swadia, along with his wife and Mr. Indukant V. Swadia, incorporated 'Ranjeet Electric Private Limited' in Ahmedabad. The company aimed to engage in the business of electrical and electrical mechanical engineers, dealing in industrial pumps, diesel engines, electrical motors, and equipment.

Initially, REPL obtained distributorship of agricultural, industrial, and marine engines from Kirloskar. The company expanded its product range to include pumps, motors, alternators, diesel engines, and more, catering to rural, urban, and industrial sectors in Gujarat.

In 2006-07, REPL received recognition from Kirloskar Brother Limited for achieving the 2nd highest sales turnover in Ahmedabad Region. In 2009, the company secured the distributorship of fire pumps and fire engines from Kirloskar, focusing on fire solutions. The company evolved into 'Ranjeet Electric Private Limited' as a provider of modern fire solutions, specializing in system integration and end-to-end services for technology-based security and firefighting solutions.

In 2010, REPL partnered with Mather and Platt Pumps Limited for the distribution of various customized and engineered pumps, motors, and accessories. In 2012, the existing promoters, along with relatives, established 'Himgiri Solutions Private Limited' for essential building services, and in 2013, 'Destiny Zone Security Systems Private Limited' for security systems.

In 2015, a scheme of amalgamation was approved, merging Himgiri Solutions Private Limited and Destiny Zone Security Systems Private Limited with Ranjeet Electric Private Limited, effective April 1, 2014. Presently, the company specializes in providing comprehensive firefighting solutions as a system integrator, offering end-to-end services in installation, design, commissioning, testing, implementation, management, and operational support for technology-based security and fire solutions.
