Porwal Auto Components Ltd. was founded on February 03, 1992, originally as Porwal Auto Components Private Limited, and later converted into a Public Limited Company on September 09, 1992, under the name 'Porwal Auto Components Limited'. The company operates as a diversified auto-components entity, spanning various processes, product lines, and customer segments. It specializes in the manufacturing and distribution of S.G. (Ductile) Iron, Grey Cast Iron, and Steel Castings and Components for Automobile, Engineering, and Railway Applications. The engineering team undertook extensive research, experimentation, and development to establish an efficient manufacturing system for producing high-quality castings. The utilization of lost foam technology has proven beneficial, particularly for intricate castings that traditionally require cores. Serving multiple sectors including Automobile, Engineering, Pumps and Valves, Agriculture, and Tractor Equipment, the company was promoted by Mr. Surendra Jain, Mr. Devendra Jain, and Mr. Mukesh Jain. It has obtained 1S0/TS 16949:2002 certification. Initially, the company had a manufacturing capacity of 6600 T per annum, which has since been upgraded to 9000 MT per annum to broaden the product portfolio and accommodate a larger customer base. A significant expansion program aimed at increasing capacities up to 27600 MTA commenced in January 2005 and is scheduled for completion by June 2008. In January 2006, as part of financing the expansion, the company conducted a preferential allotment of 80,00,000 equity shares, with 43,00,000 shares allotted to the promoter group and the remaining 37,00,000 shares to Porwal Finsec Pvt. Ltd. (Acquirer), a non-promoter entity, in compliance with SEBI (SAST) Regulations. Additionally, the company installed a solar power generation unit in the financial year 2013-14 at Tarana, Ujjain M.P. for captive consumption.
