Established in November 1994, Parmax Pharma Ltd (PPL) was founded by Jayantilal S Dhol, Purushottam J Bhalodi, and Prabhudas D Hansalpara. The core of Parmax's pharmaceutical operations lies in its Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) and Contract Manufacturing Operations (CMO) business. Initially, the promoters were engaged in the production of bulk drugs such as Ampicillin, Amoxicillin, Cephalexin, Nalidixic Acid, among others. However, the company ceased its operations for a period due to various reasons. Transitioning from its origins as a bulk drug manufacturer and specialty chemicals producer in 1994, the company subsequently established a facility in Hadamtala, Gujarat, for the manufacturing and marketing of bulk drugs including amoxicillin trihydrate, ampicillin trihydrate, cephalexin monohydrate, and nalidixic acid, with an installed capacity of 96 TPA. The antibiotic project was fully operational as of May 31, 1997.
