Hipolin was established on March 31, 1994, by Bhupendra Shah, Jaykumar Shah, and Daxesh Shah. These promoters are also involved in ventures such as Hipolin Management and Consultancy, Hipolin Investment, Jay Detergents, among others. Bhupendra Shah serves as the Chairman and Managing Director, overseeing the management of Hipolin.
In May 1995, the company launched a public offering of 7.75 lakh equity shares at a premium of Rs 40 each, totaling Rs 3.87 crore. This move aimed to bolster long-term working capital needs and fortify the company's financial foundation.
