Located at the renowned Alang Ship Breaking Yard, HSBL engages in the dismantling of ships procured from both foreign and Indian entities. Notably, the company has dismantled 21 ships to date, including the M V Chidambaram, which stands as one of the largest passenger liners ever owned by an Indian company.
During 1992 and 1993, HSBL encountered challenges due to the unavailability of ships for dismantling and difficulties in obtaining foreign exchange for importing old vessels.
Following the amalgamation scheme approved by the Hon'ble High Court of Bombay on January 12th, 2007, incorporating Hariyana Fashions Private Limited and Hariyana Machinery Exports Private Limited into Hariyana Ship Breakers Limited, 11,66,667 Equity Shares of Rs. 10/- each were allotted to shareholders of Hariyana Fashions Private Limited and Hariyana Machinery Exports Private Limited. These shareholders are entitled to full dividends for the fiscal year ending March 31st, 2007.
