Cargotrans Maritime Ltd. began its journey as 'Cargotrans Maritime Private Limited' under the Companies Act of 1956 on April 16, 2012. Subsequently, it transitioned from a Private Limited entity to a Public Limited one, a decision ratified by the shareholders on June 01, 2022, leading to a renaming from 'Cargotrans Maritime Private Limited' to 'Cargotrans Maritime Limited' on June 06, 2022.

The company operates as an international logistics provider, specializing in sea logistics services such as ocean freight forwarding (FCL and LCL), transportation, customs clearance, warehousing, and other value-added services. Commencing its freight forwarding operations in 2012, the company has steadily expanded its reach, diversified its service portfolio, and bolstered its expertise.

With a Multi-Modal Transport Operator's License, the company can issue a single multimodal transport document spanning various transport modes, positioning itself as a key player in the field and enhancing its revenue model. Additionally, through its subsidiary CMAPL, which holds a valid Custom House Agent's License, the company handles regulatory compliance services including customs clearance.

Operating branch offices in Ahmedabad & Rajkot and port offices in Mundra and Pipavav, the company serves four major sea ports in Gujarat: Mundra, Hazira, Kandla, and Pipavav. Its fleet of nine commercial trailers facilitates container transportation, supplemented by third-party operators to meet customer demands across sectors such as food processing, agro-based industries, commodities, plastics, minerals, ceramics, trading, packaging, and textiles.

In ocean freight forwarding, the company acts as an intermediary between shippers and shipping lines to secure optimal shipping rates and transit options for its clients. The service covers both FCL and LCL cargo, leveraging longstanding relationships with shipping lines to offer competitive rates and cost-effective solutions.

Custom clearance services provided by the company encompass a range of activities from shipping bill preparation to customs examination and cargo handling. With a fleet of nine trailers for container transportation and collaborations with road transport carriers, the company ensures efficient logistics planning for its clients. Moreover, its warehouses in Mundra and Pipavav, operated in conjunction with its subsidiary CMAPL, offer storage facilities and ancillary services like packaging, fumigation, and surveying.

In October 2019, the company expanded its operations by acquiring 100% stakes in Cargotrans Maritime Agencies Private Limited (CMAPL) and Cargotrans Maritime Forwarding Private Limited (CMFPL), enabling it to diversify into custom house agent services and coastal transportation within India.
