Vijayawada, YSRCP's Vijayawada Lok Sabha candidate K Srinivas, who lost to his younger brother K Shivnath of TDP, bid goodbye to politics on Monday.

However, the two-time MP said his 'commitment' to Vijayawada remains strong even though he is stepping away from the political arena.

"After careful consideration and consideration, I have decided to step away from politics and end my political journey after serving the people of Vijayawada as a Member of Parliament twice," Srinivas said in a post on "It's been an incredible honor." ,

Transport tycoon-turned-politician Srinivas, popularly known as Kesineni Nani, vowed to continue supporting and advocating for the betterment of Vijayawada in whatever way he can.

Thanking the people who have supported him in his political journey, Srinivas said they have cherished memories and invaluable experiences.

He represented Vijayawada Parliament constituency twice as a TDP candidate from 2014 to 2024.

Srinivas resigned from TDP and Lok Sabha on the same day on 10 January. Later he joined YSRCP.

In the Lok Sabha elections held in Andhra Pradesh on May 13, Srinivas lost to his younger brother Shivnath by a margin of 2.8 lakh votes.
