According to the police, on Friday night, on the instructions of the lawyer, two assailants riding a motorcycle shot the woman from close range in the back, seriously injuring her.

The woman in the incident has been identified as Pallavi Sharma, who was admitted to the ICU of a private hospital. She lived with her children in Riddhi-Siddhi Apartment in Gurugram and ran a beauty parlor.

The arrested persons have been identified as Nitish Bhardwaj (lawyer); Gulshan Thakur of Bihar, Raja of Madhya Pradesh and Bunty of Nuh.

During interrogation, Nitish Bhardwaj told the police that Pallavi Sharma had approached him in connection with a case as she was living separately from her husband. Gradually a friendship developed between the two.

"Bhardwaj wanted to get rid of Pallavi. Hence, he planned to eliminate her. As per the plan, he met Gulshan, who prepared Raja and Bunty to murder the woman and for the purpose of murder, shot the woman at close range. drove him away on Friday night,” said Gurugram police spokesperson Sandeep Kumar.

Regarding the matter, Pallavi's father Raj Kumar Sharma said in the complaint given to the police that his daughter was going for some work at around 9.30 pm. on Friday when two unidentified motorcycle-riding assailants shot him at close range.

Some cab drivers present on the road took the injured woman to the hospital and informed the police.

After this, the police visited the spot along with forensic experts and collected evidence.

Sandeep Kumar said that the woman is currently undergoing treatment and the police is investigating the case from all possible angles.

He said, "Pallavi's father has denied having any knowledge about his daughter's enmity with anyone."
