A married woman and her partner were arrested on Sunday for the brutal murder of her husband with scissors a week ago in Noida, Greater Noida. Police officials gave this information.

He told that Kushwaha was caught near ATS intersection in Greater Noida.

According to the police spokesperson, the murder weapon, a pair of scissors, was recovered from their possession.

"Pooja and Prahlad, both from the same village, were already in an extramarital affair with her husband Mahesh before she moved to Biraunda village for work," the spokesperson said.

In search of employment, Mahesh shifted his family to Biraunda in Greater Noida and found work as a sanitation worker. During this time, Pooja called Prahlad to Greater Noida on the pretext of helping him find a job. Prahlad secured a position as a security guard in the NFL Society and started visiting Pooja frequently, the officer said.

On the night of 1 July, Prahlad went to meet Pooja at her house in Mahesh's absence. However, Mahesh returned home unexpectedly and found his wife in a compromising position with Prahlad, the officer said.

The police spokesperson said, "A violent confrontation ensued, during which Pooja and Prahlad attacked Mahesh with scissors, ultimately killing him. They then attempted to hide the body by throwing it on the toilet roof before fleeing the scene."

Police said the accused have been booked for murder under the provisions of the Indian Code of Justice (BNS) and the FIR has been lodged at the local Beta 2 police station in Greater Noida.
