Addressing a rally in Thiruvananthapuram, PM Modi assured of setting up new centers of eco-tourism in Kerala, "Kerala tourism has immense potential. We are committed to connect world tourists with our 'heritage'. We Let us resolve to take our 'heritage' to the world heritage scale. BJP will do this," PM Modi said. We will ensure holistic development of major tourist destinations in Kerala.We will establish new centers of eco-tourism in Kerala. He also mentioned the Maliyali New Year Vishu festival and said that we are getting this blessing from the people of Kerala. "Yesterday was also the festival of Maliyali New Year Vishu. At such an auspicious time, we are getting this blessing from the people of Kerala. This blessing is the blessing of a new beginning in Kerala," he said.''The Prime Minister further talked about the BJP's 'Sankalp Patra' which the party released on Sunday and said that the BJP's 'Sankalp Patra' means 'Modi' guarantee. Every citizen above 70 years of age will get free treatment...In the BJP's developmental approach, there is a comprehensive roadmap available for every section and every society of Kerala,'' he said. The Prime Minister announced a plan to build 3 crore new houses for the underprivileged and emphasized that every citizen aged 70 years and above will get complimentary health care. “We have decided to provide free medical treatment under the Ayushman Bharat scheme to senior citizens above 70 years of age. Also, about 10 crore women associated with self-help groups (SHGs) in the IT health, tourism and retail sectors Training will be provided in the sector,” he said, adding that the BJP has never won a Lok Sabha seat in Kerala, while the number of BJP MLAs in Kerala has dropped from the single seat it won in 2016 to zero in 2021.She is contesting on 115 out of 140 seats. 2021 Kerala Assembly elections, I got 11.3 percent of the total votes polled, but failed to win a single seat. The BJP's vote share in Kerala was its highest in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, when it managed to garner around 13 per cent of the total votes. The survey showed the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) winning 19 seats, up from 2 in Kerala that year. Voting is to be held in the second phase on April 16 for all 20 Lok Sabha seats in the state.
