Patna (Bihar) [India]: Independent candidate Pappu Yadav, who won from Bihar's Purnia Lok Sabha seat, on Saturday said his ideology matches that of the Congress, but he is ready to seek help from PM-designate Narendra. Modi for the development of the constituency.

The victorious candidate told reporters that his ideology is very similar to that of Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi. Yadav said, "My ideology matches that of Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi. However, I will definitely take help from Narendra Modi for the development of Purnia."

Speaking to reporters, Pappu Yadav said, "People supported me and reposed faith in me...Those who showed politics of aggression, arrogance and hatred have lost at the Center and in Bihar too."

He further said, “The people of this country have always followed the path of Buddha, Mahavir, Ram, Shiva and Krishna.You have always talked about aggression, and the youth do not want that. They want to live..."

It is noteworthy that in the 18th Lok Sabha elections, NDA ally Janata Dal-United (JDU) won 12 out of 40 seats in Bihar, while BJP also won 12 seats. On the other hand, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) won four seats, while Congress managed to secure three seats.

After not getting ticket from Purnia Lok Sabha constituency, Congress leader Pappu Yadav decided to contest the elections alone.

Pappu had represented Purnia thrice between 1991 and 2004.

As part of an agreement between opposition parties within the Indian faction in the state, the RJD had named Bima Bharti, who was earlier associated with the JDU, as its candidate from Purnia, denying the Congress a chance to contest from here.That constituency.

Pappu Yadav won in Purnia by securing 5,67,556 votes and defeated JDU's Santosh Kumar by a margin of 23,847 votes. Yadav also defeated RJD's Bima Bharti.

Meanwhile, as India gears up for the swearing-in ceremony of Narendra Modi for his third consecutive term as Prime Minister on June 9, Delhi Police has taken strict measures to ensure security during the event.

According to Delhi Police officials, multi-layered security arrangements have been made for the program. Five companies of paramilitary forces will be deployed for the security of Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Apart from this, NSG commandos, drones and snipers will also protect Rashtrapati Bhavan for the mega event.
