New Delhi: Farmers' organization SKM on Thursday announced that it will resume its agitation over its pending demands including legal guarantee of MSP and loan waiver and submit a memorandum to the Prime Minister and the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha.

The Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM), which led the 2020-21 farmers' protest, made the announcement a day after its general body meeting.

“The General Assembly has decided to resume the agitation demanding implementation of the agreement dated December 9, 2021, which the Central Government has entered into with SKM, which has been signed by the Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Government of India , and other key demands which are affecting the livelihood of farmers,” SKM said.

It said the organization would submit an updated charter of demands to all MPs.

The organization said that on August 9, SKM will observe "Quit India Day" as "Quit India Day" by demonstrating across the country in support of its demands.
