Kolkata: West Bengal Governor CV Anand Bose on Thursday said he will not share any public platform with Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in view of the public anger over the RG Kar Hospital standoff.

In a video message, Bose also said that he would also socially boycott the Chief Minister.

Bose said, "I will not share any public platform with the Chief Minister. I will take active action against him for violating constitutional provisions. My role as Governor will be limited to constitutional obligations."

He said, "I am committed to the people of Bengal. I reiterate my commitment to the parents of the RG Kar victim and the people protesting for justice. In my assessment, the government has failed in its duties."
