Gulabgarh (Jammu and Kashmir), Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday said attempts were being made to revive terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, and added that it will be "buried to such a level" in the Union Territory that It may never grow again.

Speaking at a public rally in Kishtwar, Shah said the National Conference-Congress alliance would not be able to form the Jammu and Kashmir government.

“We will bury terrorism to a level where it will never emerge again. Efforts are being made to revive terrorism as the manifestos of National Conference and Congress talk about releasing terrorists. This is the Modi government and no one has the power to revive terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir,” Shah said while addressing an election rally in Pader-Nagaseni assembly constituency here in support of BJP candidate and former minister Sunil Sharma. .

“This election is between two forces, National Conference and PDP on one side and BJP on the other. NC-Congress are saying that if we form the government, we will restore Article 370. Tell me, should it be restored? Your reservation given by BJP to Pahari, Gujjar and others will be taken away.

The Home Minister said, "Don't worry, I am keeping an eye on the situation in Kashmir and rest assured that neither Abdullah nor Rahul's party is going to form the government in Jammu and Kashmir."

This was the second visit of the Home Minister to Jammu region within a fortnight. Earlier, during his two-day visit to Jammu on September 6 and 7, he released the BJP's manifesto for the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections and addressed a workers' conference.

Monday is the last day of campaigning in 24 assembly constituencies, including Paddar-Nagaseni, where voting is scheduled for the first phase on September 18.
