New Delhi: Congress on Thursday alleged that despite repeated promises, the BJP government has "failed" to provide permanent employment opportunities in Haryana and instead, it is promoting temporary contract jobs through the Skill Employment Corporation. Has been.

Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh asked questions to Prime Minister Narendra Modi before his rally in Mahendragarh, Haryana.

"Outgoing Prime Minister. Now that we have got his attention, today's questions for him in Mahendragarh are: Who made Haryana No. 1 in unemployment? Why has the BJP slowed down private investment in Haryana? What about clean drinking water? Why are Bhiwani residents being forced to protest and proper sewerage?" Ramesh said in a post OX.

Citing the latest data from the Center for Monitoring the Indian Economy (CMIE), Ramesh said Haryana has the highest unemployment rate in India at 37.4 per cent, which is much higher than the national average. He said, "Despite repeated promises and announcements, the BJP government has failed to provide permanent employment opportunities. Instead, they are promoting temporary contractual jobs through the Skill Employment Corporation."

This neglect has left nearly two lakh government posts vacant and the recent decision to close down Hisar Doordarshan has further aggravated the unemployment crisis, leaving dozens unemployed and valuable infrastructure ruined, Ramesh said.

"The BJP's approach of hollow assurances and lack of concrete action is continuously disappointing the youth. Had the outgoing Prime Minister and the BJP already planned to create better opportunities for the youth of Haryana?" He said.Ramesh further said that Haryana is in the bottom five states in this metric, having received only one per cent of all bank-assisted private projects in India in 2022-23.

He said, “Bank-assisted projects are an important indicator of the health of the banking sector as well as private investment. According to experts, the poor law and order situation is one of the major factors deterring companies from investing in Haryana "

He asked why the BJP has failed to attract investment and employment opportunities in Haryana after ten years in the state.

"Why have the outgoing Prime Minister and his dual government failed to address the law and order situation?" Ramesh said.

He also said that residents of Bhiwani are facing problems like water shortage, contaminated water supply and sewerage leaks. There have been several protests in the past month against water pollution and blockages in the sewer system, he said.

The Congress leader said that due to sewage leakage, many roads have been filled with dirty water, the water shortage is becoming worse as summer approaches.

The situation on the ground has become so bad that residents of Krishna Colony have even threatened to boycott the Lok Sabha elections if their problems are not resolved, Ramesh said.

"Why are the people of Bhiwani struggling for basic needs even after one year of BJP rule? Can the outgoing Prime Minister tell us why the BJP is unable to resolve these issues even after months of protests?" He said that I ask the Prime Minister to break his "silence" on this issue.
