The actress, who is the daughter of filmmaker-actor Mahesh Manjrekar, plays the younger version of Tabu's character in the film.
Sai further added, "My father has always said that in his opinion Tabu is the best actress and since childhood he has said that if you want to learn acting then sit and watch Tabu's films."
Sye said that she had watched Tabu's work growing up as her father Mahesh had said that she was "the actress I need to take inspiration from."
