New Delhi, NDMC officials on Monday said water supply in parts of Lutyens' Delhi will be affected as Tilak Marg and Bengali Market underground water reservoirs are getting less water from the Delhi Jal Board.

He said that there is a 40 percent shortfall in the supply from Delhi Jal Board (DJB) in the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) area.

"As informed by DJB that due to non-availability of raw water the production of potable water from Wazirabad Water Plant is not running at full capacity, hence Tilak Marg Underground Water Reservoir (UGR) and Bengali Bazar in the command area of ​​UGR Water will be supplied once a day, preferably in the morning,” the official said.

Due to this, water supply in Bengali Market, Ashok Road, HC Mathur Lane, Copernicus Marg, Purana Qila Road, Babar Road, Barakhamba Road, KG Marg, Windsor Place, Ferozshah Marg, Canning Lane and surrounding areas will be affected.

NDMC appealed to people to save water and use it judiciously.
