Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday said the violence on Ram Navami in non-BJP ruled states is the result of "appeasement policies".

"Whether it is violence on Ram Navami or Holi, in non-BJP ruled states including West Bengal, this is the bad outcome of the policies of appeasement and playing with the sentiments of the majority community," Yogi told reporters at his residence here. .

"Vote bank politics in the name of appeasement has given rise to such communal tension. This is a matter of concern and a message to the people of the country," he said.

Adityanath questioned the ability of non-BJP ruled states to ensure the safety of their "sisters and daughters" when they "failed" to provide security to peaceful processions on Ram Navami.

He appealed to the voters to send a message with their vote to those so-called secular people and parties who play with our emotions.

BJP's star campaigner Adityanath will hold a rally in Chhattisgarh. H said that like the people across the country, the people of Chhattisgarh are also happy with the construction of Ram Temple.
