New Delhi, The acclaimed documentary "While We Watched" directed by Vinay Shukla will arrive on streaming platform MUBI in India on May 24.
Billed as a turbulent newsroom drama that deeply chronicles the working days of broadcast journalist Ravish Kumar, the documentary received an overwhelming response at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival, where it also won the 2020 Amplify Voice Award. Later, it won the Cinefile Award at the 2022 Busan Film Festival.
MUBI India shared the premiere announcement of "While We Watched" in Hindi on its official X page, titled "Namaskar, I'm Ravish Kumar".
"Vinay Shukla's riveting, internationally acclaimed documentary based on his quest for one of India's foremost journalists to stand up to the fourth estate. When We Watched arrives on May 24," the streamer said in the post.
"While We Watched" also stars Sushil Mohapatra, Swarolipi Sengupta, Sushi Bahuguna, Saurabh Shukla and Deepak Chaubey.
