New Delhi: The NCW has claimed that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's former aide Vibhav Kumar, who is accused of misbehaving with AAP MP Swati Maliwal, was called to the chief minister's residence when she reached there and asked for details. On whose instructions were they called?

In a press note issued on Monday, the NCW stressed that this update follows its earlier communication dated May 13, 2024, where it had issued a letter titled "DCW chief Swati Maliwal accused of attacking Arvind Kejriwal's personal secretary". Spontaneous cognizance was taken of a media post.

According to the report, former DCW chief Maliwal alleged that Kumar attacked her.

The NCW has revealed that during Maliwal's visit to the Chief Minister's residence, Kumar was summoned after his arrival.

To clarify the circumstances and instructions under which Kumar was called, the NCW has asked to examine the call detail records (CDR) of all persons involved, including the Chief Minister.

The NCW stressed the need to probe the CDR to determine who had instructed Kumar to be present at the Chief Minister's residence.

Furthermore, the NCW has stressed on strict action against those who are issuing rape and death threats to Maliwal.

It sought charging the accused under appropriate sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), 1860, and sought a comprehensive report on the action taken within three days.
