New Delhi, V Somanna assumed charge as Minister of State for Railways at Rail Bhawan on Tuesday.

He was welcomed by Railway Board Chairman and CEO Jaya Verma Singh and other senior railway officials.

Somanna, Lok Sabha MP from Tumkur constituency of Karnataka, expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP for giving him the responsibility of ministerial post.

“In the last 10 years, Railways has experienced significant growth under the leadership of PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji.

“As we move forward in Modi 3.0, we will maintain the growth momentum of the Railways,” Somanna said.

“It is a pleasure to work under the able guidance of Union Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnav ji and contribute to the development of Railways and a developed India. Together, we will achieve the dream of a developed India and we will work 24/7 for it. " He said.
