Pantnagar (Uttarakhand) [India], Uttarakhand Chief Secretary Radha Raturi, in the High Powered Committee (HPC) meeting on Tuesday, directed the officials to expedite the process of expansion of Pantnagar Airport.
Radha has directed Uttarakhand Seed and Terai Development Corporation, Patna University, Public Works Department, SIDCUL, Agriculture Department and Terai State Farm to assess their properties and immediately send it to the government through their departments.
The Chief Secretary said that expanding Pantnagar Airport and making it of international standard is one of the top priorities of the State Government.
“It is being regularly reviewed at the central and state levels,” he said.
Radha Raturi further said that being a border area, it not only has strategic importance, it is also very important from tourism point of view and also distributed 500 saplings to the participants.
