Dallas, USA bowler Rusty Theron has accused Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf of ball tampering during the T20 World Cup match.

Theron, who is not part of the USA team, alleged that Rauf was running his thumbnails on the ball, which was two overs old, and therefore causing it to overturn.

The 38-year-old fast bowler, who previously played for South Africa, also criticized the ICC for turning a blind eye to the alleged incident.

"@ICC Are we just pretending that Pakistan is doing nothing with this freshly changed ball? Reversing the ball that was changed just 2 overs ago?

"You can literally see Harris Rauf driving his thumb nail through the ball at the top of his mark. @usacricket #PakvsUSA," Theron wrote on 'X.'

Co-hosts United States stunned Pakistan as they pulled off the first upset of this edition's T20 World Cup by defeating the former champions via Super Over on Thursday.

Rauf was Pakistan's most expensive fast bowler, who gave away 37 runs in four overs.
