By Suchitra Mukherjee Chicago [US] Sunderkand Parivar, a leading organization dedicated to spiritual and cultural activities begins a momentous journey with the launch of “Sunderkand Recitation 108 Times for 400 Paar Abki Baar” in Chicago. The objective of this initiative is to recite Sunderkand, a revered chapter of the Hindu epic Ramayana, 108 times, seeking blessings for the victory of truth and dharma and advancement of a prosperous and harmonious Bharat (India). President of Overseas Friends of BJP (OFBJP), Dr. Adapa Prasa inaugurated this auspicious initiative by highlighting the profound importance of Lord Rama and his timeless principles as the guiding light in our lives.
Dr Prasad underlined the importance of promoting a society based on the ideal of "Ram Rajya", which echoes the principles of equality and inclusivity under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP's external affairs department told ANI. Meanwhile, Sunderkand chief Sanjay Sharma said the family initiated the sacred vows with the resounding sound of the shankhnaad, which marks the beginning of a holy journey. Sunderkand Path will run continuously for 108 hours via Zoom, with participants from across the world being provided the opportunity to contribute by reciting Sunderkand for one hour each.As confirmed by Anurag Awasthi, event organizer Rakesh Malhotra, joining from Delhi, India, stressed the importance of invoking the name of Lord Ram and seeking blessings of Lord Hanuman to overcome obstacles. He expressed his gratitude to Sanjay Sharma, Anurag Awasthi and Sunderkand family for organizing this event and involving 108 volunteers to participate in the Sunderkand Path.
