Bareilly (UP), Seven policemen were suspended following violence between two groups who opened fire on each other over possession of a piece of land here on Saturday morning. The officers provided this information.

Area Officer (III) Anita Singh Chauhan said that a person walking on the terrace of a nearby house has been injured in the incident.

According to the police, the main accused have been identified as Rajiv Rana and Aditya Upadhyay. The incident took place on Pilibhit bypass in Izzatnagar area.

Chauhan said, on Saturday morning, an argument broke out between Rana and Upadhyay over possession of a piece of land located near Upadhyay's marble shop.

However, the argument soon turned violent. Rana, who had come with his sons and 40-50 associates, set on fire two JCB machines parked near the disputed land, Chauhan said.

He said that after this firing started between the two sides.

An alleged video of the incident surfaced online.

On receiving the information, the police reached the spot along with the fire brigade and controlled the fire. However, both parties had fled, the CO said.

Raids were conducted to arrest the accused. Upadhyay and his son Aviral were arrested and a gun was recovered from them. He said that the police is searching for the remaining accused in the incident.

Meanwhile, Bareilly Senior Superintendent of Police Ghule Sushil Chandrabhan said that seven policemen have been suspended, including Station House Officer (SHO) of Izzatnagar police station Jaishankar Singh, Sub Inspector Rajeev Prakash, Head Constable Yogesh along with Constable Sunny Kumar. , Vinod Kumar, Rajkumar. And Ajay Tomar is accused of negligence in connection with the incident.
