Aligarh (UP): An elderly woman died in a hospital after she was allegedly beaten by thieves who were trying to steal her goat from outside her house, police said on Saturday.
He told that the incident took place in Lalganj village of Gabhana police station area on Friday evening.
According to the police, the deceased, Gulshan Rafiq (65), saw two men on a motorcycle, armed with wooden sticks, trying to take away his goats.
He told that when he tried to oppose them, the thieves attacked him with sticks.
Police said Rafiq was taken to hospital, where he died in the early hours of Saturday.
He said that a case has been registered against two unknown attackers under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
