New Delhi [India], Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel reached Delhi on Sunday to attend the swearing-in ceremony of newly elected Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Today at 7:15 pm, he will take oath as the Prime Minister of India for the historic third time. He would equal Jawaharlal Nehru's record of becoming Prime Minister of India for the third time after serving two full terms.

Earlier today, Prime Minister-elect Narendra Modi signed the visitors' book after laying a wreath at the National War Memorial.

Meanwhile, several leaders from Uttar Pradesh and BJP expressed happiness over Prime Minister Narendra Modi's re-election for the third consecutive term. Congratulations to the people of the country for approving the work done by Narendra Modi.

Out of 543 Lok Sabha seats, BJP got 240 seats and National Democratic Alliance got 292 seats. The Congress contested the elections as part of the India Bloc and together all the parties were successful in preventing the BJP from getting a majority in the Lok Sabha on its own.

Congress got 99 seats. Samajwadi Party got 37 seats, while Trinamool Congress got 29 seats. DMK managed to win 22 seats.
