Mahoba (UP): Four people, including an eight-year-old boy, were burnt to death in a fire that broke out after two motorcycles collided here on Tuesday, police said.

He said that two people were injured in this accident which took place in Srinagar area of ​​Mahoba district.

Superintendent of Police Aparna Gupta said that two speeding motorcycles collided with each other on the Srinagar-Belatal road. Both the bikes caught fire due to which four people died on the spot and two were injured.

Of the four people traveling on a bike, two family members – Raj (8) and Lalitesh (22) – were burnt to death. While Devendra (8) and Neha (25) sustained severe burn injuries, Gupta said.

Gupta said that Chandrabhan (40) and Sunil Rahi (22), who were riding on the other bike, also burnt to death in the accident.

He said that the injured were taken to the hospital and are undergoing treatment.

The bodies have been sent for post-mortem. He said further investigation is underway.
