He reached Hathras police lines and interacted with officials to assess the status quo.

Earlier today, State Minister and BJP MLA Asim Arun said: "As per the information that the police have, 121 people have died in the incident. 19 bodies are yet to be identified. So far, as many as 121 people have died in the stampede incident that took place at a prayer meeting of 'Satsang' congregation at Phulrai Mugalgarhi village in Hathras, according to a statement from the Relief Commissioner's Office.

Sandip Kumar Singh Lodhi, Minister of State for Education (Independent Charge), Government of Uttar Pradesh, confirmed that a total of 35 people were injured.

"It is a very unfortunate incident and we have been following every update from Hathras throughout the night. It is really sad that the death toll has reached 121. Around 35 people are injured," he said

An FIR has been registered against Devprakash Madhukar, known as 'Mukhya Sewadar' and other organizers of the 'Satsang', where the stampede took place.

Earlier today, a forensic team of the state police reached the incident site along with the dog squad where the belongings of the devotees were found.

A member of the forensic team said that the devotees' belongings such as footwear and sheets were found at the scene.

"There are no specific things to collect from here, it is just the belongings of the devotees, such as shoes and sheets to sit on. However, I will not be able to say more what we have found," he told reporters.

The Uttar Pradesh police have also launched a search operation at Ram Kutir Charitable Trust in Mainpuri district in search of Narayan Saakar Hari, also known as Bhole Baba, the 'Satsang' preacher in Hathras, where the incident took place on Tuesday. stampede that claimed the lives of more than hundreds of people and dozens of injuries.

However, the preacher remains untraceable.

"We did not find Baba ji inside the campus. He is not here," MP SP Sunil Kumar said earlier.

The Uttar Pradesh Police lodged an FIR against the organizers of the religious event in Hathras. 'Mukhya Sewadar' Devprakash Madhukar and other organizers have been named accused in the case registered at Sikandara Rao police station on Tuesday night.

Shakuntala Devi, an eyewitness of the Hathras stampede incident, said, "A Satsang of Bhole Baba was going on. Just after the Satsang ended, several people started coming out from there. A stampede occurred because the road It was irregular and people fell on each other..."

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday promised a thorough investigation into the incident to determine whether it was an "accident or a conspiracy."

CM Yogi asserted that the state government is committed to uncovering the truth behind the Hathras incident.

"Playing politics instead of expressing condolences over such an incident is extremely unfortunate and condemnable. The government is already sensitive in this matter and will get to the bottom of the matter, whether it is an accident or a conspiracy, and give the appropriate punishment to all those responsible for this incident," he said.

The Chief Minister further said that to ensure a thorough investigation, a team has been formed under the chairmanship of the Additional Directorate General of Agra, tasked with providing a detailed report.
