Greater Noida (Uttar Pradesh) [India], Three persons involved in a robbery were arrested after a brief encounter by the Greater Noida Police on Sunday night under Beta 2 police station in Greater Noida, while one person managed to escape.
Greater Noida Police recovered an amount of Rs 9 lakh.
The arrested people have been identified as Santosh, Nitesh, Chandan and the fourth friend Akash managed to escape.
DCP Greater Noida Saad Mian Khan said, "On May 31, four people committed a robbery in Side 4, Greater Noida, in which cash was looted from a cash collection agent and his friends. They also opened fire on the spot and fled from the spot.'' Under the guidance of the Joint Commissioner of Police, a team comprising Beta 2 team, SWAT and ECO Tech 1 team was formed. This robbery was planned by four friends.
He said the entire cash amount of Rs 9 lakh has been recovered and a search is on to nab the fourth accused.
"The robbery was planned by collection agent Santosh and his three friends. Nitish and Chandan along with Santosh are arrested and Akash manages to escape. They were in debt and Santosh had problems with his boss so "Santosh planned to rob his boss. Two cases have been registered against the fourth person and he will be caught soon."
He further said that Santosh wanted to take revenge from his boss and repay his debt so he planned the robbery.
He further added, “Santosh had recently taken a Visa card for which he had to pay EMI, he had also taken a phone for which he had to pay EMI and had also taken a bike for which he had to pay EMI. It was too much He was in debt so he planned a robbery to repay his debt and take revenge on his master.
