Mumbai, Union Minister of State for Social Justice Ramdas Athawale on Wednesday said he has lodged a complaint with the Election Commission of India objecting to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's continuous allegations that the BJP will change the country's Constitution.

Prominent party leader and BJP ally Athawale said he should be stopped from making this claim.

"Rahul Gandhi has repeatedly claimed that the BJP is planning to change the Constitution if it comes to power again. However, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has repeatedly denied these allegations," he told reporters.

The minister said, "I have filed a complaint with the Election Commission against Gandhi's continuous claims. He should be stopped from saying such things and some action should be taken against him."
