Abu Dhabi [UAE], In line with the directives of President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to provide medical treatment to 1,000 injured Palestinian children and cancer patients, the 18th group of their accompanying persons arrived in the United Arab Emirates today. Cancer patients from the Gaza Strip in hospitals in the UAE.

Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Development Affairs and International Organizations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stressed the UAE's commitment to providing medical treatment and healthcare to Palestinians from Gaza to alleviate the humanitarian suffering they are experiencing.

He said the wise leadership's directive to provide all kinds of assistance in the health care sector falls within this framework, especially with the complete collapse of health services in the Strip.

He also valued the efforts of officials, authorities and teams of the Arab Republic of Egypt to facilitate the transfer of the injured and provide all types of assistance to the UAE teams present in Al Arish.

Upon arrival of the Etihad Airways flight from Al Arish International Airport to Zayed International Airport, medical teams transferred the injured and those requiring immediate care to hospitals for treatment.

This initiative is part of the UAE's ongoing efforts at various levels to assist the brotherly people of Palestine and enhance its response to the humanitarian conditions witnessed by the Gaza Strip.
