Abu Dhabi [UAE], The American University of Sharjah (AUS) continues its rise internationally, ranking among the top 22 per cent of institutions worldwide and among the top three universities in the UAE in the QS World Rankings 2025.

This new status is particularly linked to the university's significant gains in academic reputation, where the AUS has improved by 17 places, and citations per faculty, where it has increased by 48 places. The QS World Rankings 2025 evaluated 5,663 global institutions across 106 locations and ranked 1,503 institutions.

Within the UAE, AUS is one of the top three universities, ranked second in employer reputation and employability outcomes, and third in per faculty, international faculty and sustainability, according to the QS World Rankings 2025, which ranked 16th in the UAE. Evaluated 12 institutions in the Arab Emirates.

Recently, AUS was ranked among the top 150 universities in Asia according to the Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings (2024), and among the top 125 universities in the Times Higher Education Young University Rankings 2024.

According to the QS Arab Region University Rankings (2024), it has been ranked among the top 10 Arab universities every year for the last nine years.
