Thane: Two workers were injured in a fire that broke out at a temporary accommodation near an under-construction building in Maharashtra's Thane city on Thursday. Municipal corporation officials gave this information.

He told that this incident took place in Kalwa area of ​​the city at around 7.30 am.

"Two workers living in a temporary shed at the construction site suffered minor burn injuries after the fire broke out due to leakage of cooking gas," said Yasin Tadvi, head of the disaster management cell of the Thane civic body.

He said that upon receiving the information, local fire brigade personnel and a team of RDMC reached the spot and brought the fire under control within 30 minutes.

The injured workers, identified as Mustafa Ahmed (18) and Muzammil Ahmed (20), were taken to Kalwa Civic Hospital, where they are being treated, he said.
