Four members of the gang were arrested from Sakleshpur in Hassan on Tuesday and brought to Mulki from where they fled to Bengaluru after looting cash and jewelery worth Rs 15 lakh and injuring an elderly couple in Kotekani area on July 8, he said. Had run away towards.

Mangaluru police, with the help of Sakleshpur police and KSRTC (Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation) officials, arrested them within five hours of the crime, police said.

According to the police, the police team fired at the alleged criminals who were trying to escape after attacking them. The injured policemen have been admitted to the hospital and their condition is said to be improving.

The accused, who were shot in the leg, have been kept in the police ward of Government Wenlock Hospital in Mangaluru city.
