Jammu: Two commercial passenger vehicles with the same registration number plate were seized here on Tuesday and their drivers detained for questioning. A police officer gave this information.
He said that on specific information, two cabs of the same color were seized from Jammu bus stand area.
The officer said the bus stand police station received a tip-off that two identical vehicles with the same registration number (JK08D4356) were roaming around the general bus stand.
He said a police team was sent to the spot and both the vehicles were seized.
Two drivers, one of whom is a resident of Mendhar area of Poonch and the other from Kashmir, have been detained for questioning and further investigation, the official said. Police are seeking details from the Assistant Regional Transport Office in Kathua, where the vehicles are registered.
