New Delhi: Customs officials have arrested two people at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport here on charges of smuggling heroin worth Rs 3 crore, according to an official statement issued on Wednesday.

I said, the accused were caught after coming from Bangkok on April 3.

A statement issued by the Customs Department said, "Subsequently, upon examination of the luggage of both the passengers, 13 packets were found which contained green colored drug suspected to be heroin, which weighed 500 grams (5.04 kg)."

The value of the recovered drugs is Rs 35 crore.

Two accused, hailing from Tamil Nadu, have been arrested and the recovered drugs have been confiscated.
