Thane: Two people have been arrested for attacking their friend with a knife in a local train running on Kasara-Kalyan route of Central Railway. Government Railway Police officer gave this information on Monday.
The two allegedly attacked their friend with a knife between Titwala and Vashind railway stations in the early hours of Sunday, he said.
Some passengers traveling in a coach alerted the police. He said that both were arrested after the train reached Kalyan railway station.
Prima facie, the incident escalated during friendly banter, the officer said, adding police have registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
