Reacting to BJP's plan to protest outside the MUDA office against alleged irregularities, CM Siddaramaiah said, "Firstly, the allotment of land to landowners using the 50:50 formula is being investigated... secondly. BJP, they are trying to make an issue of allocation to my wife, it is not an issue.

CM Siddaramaiah asked media persons at Mysuru airport, "Have we asked for allocation in Vijayanagara area? Have you seen my wife's application?"

He said, "...our land was taken illegally. What does one do in these circumstances? We asked for compensation, and the allotment has been made in Vijayanagara. MUDA agrees... that the land acquisition was wrong."

The CM said that the site allotment has been kept suspended and two IAS officers are investigating the matter. "Let's see what comes in that report. If it has been done illegally then we will take action," he said.

CM Siddaramaiah said that BJP is protesting in Bengaluru and Mysuru for 'political reasons'.

CM Siddaramaiah said, "The Assembly session will begin in 15 days. If the issue is raised, we will respond."

Responding to a question about the controversy over changing the name of Ramnagar district, he said that Deputy CM D.K. A request has been made by. Shivkumar in this regard. This area earlier belonged to Bengaluru district and now they want this area to be called Bengaluru South district. The Cabinet Committee will take a decision on this.
