Initially, diploma and postgraduate diploma level courses of one year duration will be started, Tripura Tea Development Corporation Chairman Sami Ghosh told ANI when asked about the courses to be started in Maharaja Bir Bikram University. Said, "There are 54 We have seen that in all these parks people from outside are getting positions like managers and senior managers, to ensure that local people can also develop the skills required to hold those positions, we have Maharaja Bir Bikram University (MBB University) has decided to start diploma courses. “Both one-year diploma and postgraduate diploma courses will be started from this academic session. Most of the work has been done. We will start the course as soon as the code of conduct is over. For six months, theory will be taught inside the university and for the remaining six months, students will stay in the garden for practical knowledge.We will get ample scope to create more employment opportunities. Trained individuals can work anywhere in the country with the degree they get on completion of the course,” said Ghosh, who has taken charge of the state's largest tea outfit, which has two factories and five gardens under its control. He also said that the state government's initiative to solve the housing problems of tea garden workers received an overwhelming response, according to him, more than 2,000 families have already benefited from the scheme, "Tripura's tea industry has been facing a long-running crisis." As soon as the BJP government took charge in 2018, many new initiatives were taken to restore the shine of the faded industry. We are making every possible effort to establish the identity of Tripura tea.We have decided that we will produce quality tea. This year we are producing the best quality tea, which is being sold through the public distribution system. So far, more than 3 lakh 40 thousand kilograms of tea has been distributed among the ration shop owners. An allocation of Rs 85 crore was made under the project, through which land ownership was allotted to the tea garden workers, due to which they became entitled to the Housing Scheme Scheme out of 7,532 families of tea garden workers, more than 2,800 families. Got ownership rights of the land. On the auction center being set up in Tripura, he said, “We would like to thank Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha as his efforts have turned our dream of setting up an auction center in Tripura into reality.This initiative will benefit all local tea growers.
