Agartala (Tripura) [India], Tripura Police on Thursday stopped a three-wheeler at Hawaibari checkpost in Khowai district and detained three women for allegedly selling ganja. A police officer said police seized a total of 25 kg of ganja from their possession. Sharing more details about the incident, Rajib Debnath, officer-in-charge of Teliamura police station, said, "Police officials engaged in naka checking stopped the three-wheeler, which was going from Agartala towards Teliamura, during the search operation. 25 kg ganja was seized from the bags of three female passengers in the rickshaw, following which the women were detained and a case was registered under relevant sections of the NDPS Act, he said, adding, "The accused persons hail from areas like Manu, Agartala and Dambur. Are. The estimated cost of the seized materials would be around Rs 3.5 lakh,” Debnat said Police said the auto-rickshaw bound for Teliamura was hired from Khayerpu area on the outskirts of Agartala city.
