Agartala (Tripura) [India], As the state of Tripura eagerly awaits the results of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, extensive preparations for the vote counting process have been scrutinized by key officials in West Tripura.

Returning Officer Vishal Kumar along with the West Tripura Observer conducted a detailed review on Tuesday to ensure smooth and efficient counting process.

The review session held at the counting centers included a thorough examination of the facilities, security arrangements and logistical provisions for smoothly handling the counting of votes. Reiterating his commitment to maintain democratic principles, Dr. Vishal Kumar stressed the importance of transparency and accuracy in the vote counting process.

The observer for West Tripura also underlined the need for stringent security measures to maintain the integrity of the election results.Coordination with law enforcement agencies has been strengthened to prevent any disruption or untoward incident during counting of votes.

Additionally, training sessions have also been conducted to familiarize the counting staff with the procedures and protocols. The purpose of these sessions was to reduce errors and ensure that each vote was counted correctly.

With all the preparations in place, the administration is ready to deliver a credible and transparent result, reflecting the true mandate of the people of West Tripura.

Notably, exit polls had predicted that the ruling BJP-led NDA is set to outperform its 2019 record when it had won 352 seats.The two surveys estimated that the BJP has also improved its tally from the 303 seats it won in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
