Agartala (Tripura) [India], Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Ashish Kumar Saha on Friday held important meetings with leaders of five blocks of Sada district - Bamuthia, Barjala, Pratapgarh, Badarghat and Suryamaninagar. The sessions focused on post-Lok Sabha election review, preparations for Panchayat elections, voter list updating and organizational restructuring. Emphasizing the importance of grassroots organisation, TPCC chief Saha analyzed the recent election performance. He highlighted the urgency of completing the vote lists and implementing structural changes to increase the efficiency of the party. SC Cell President of Congress Niranjan Das and State Mahila Congress President Sarbani Ghosh Chakraborty stressed on inclusion of marginalized communities and increasing participation of women. The meetings concluded with the block leaders committing to intensified vote participation and organizational strengthening. These strategic meetings reflect the dedicated efforts of the Congress Party. Ensuring their grassroots presence and strong preparation for the panchayat elections, they are aiming for a strong electoral performance in the three-tier panchayat elections in Tripura likely to be held in July. Tripura State Election Commission (TSEC) has already completed the delimitation of wards and panchayats as per the rules. Voting for the two Tripura seats in the first and second phases of the Lok Sabha elections was held on April 19 and April 26 respectively. In the 2019 elections, the BJP won both Tripura East and West Lok Sabha seats.
