Agartala (Tripura) [India], The Tripura unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party has decided to convene an extended state executive meeting ahead of the panchayat elections in the state to brainstorm on the party's past achievements and future action.

"The extended state executive meeting will be held between June 27 and July 10. The dates have not been finalized yet. Such meetings are usually held for a day, but this time it may be a little longer because Mandal level leaders are also going to participate,” said BJP Tripura vice-president Tapas Bhattacharjee.

“They are being included in this meeting to make them aware about the upcoming elections and the state leadership can directly hear their views on various things including preparations for the panchayat elections,” he said.

The senior BJP leader also said that the party will also discuss the political developments that have taken place in the last three months.

Bhattacharya also reacted sharply to the allegations of opposition leader Jitendra Chaudhary.

"Our state is inviting investors. We cannot decide the political affiliation of the investor. Industrialists are free to subscribe to any political ideology. But, what I can add here is that under this regime no Illegal work will also not be allowed. “People will come, they will invest their money and after all necessary approvals they will be allowed to work here,” Bhattacharya said.
