Addressing a press conference in New Delhi on Wednesday, Vijayendra asserted that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah should take responsibility for the case as he is the Finance Minister.

He also demanded immediate resignations of Medical Education Minister Sharanprakash Patil and tribal corporation president Congress MLA Basavaraja Daddal.

“We will lay siege to all district commissioner offices on June 28. Money reserved for scheduled tribes has been misappropriated. It is misused and the Congress government has looted the money,” Vijayendra alleged.

The CBI took up the probe following a letter from the Union Bank of India and the state government hastily formed the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to conduct the probe at its whim, he claimed.

“The SIT is involved in hushing up the case and the state government is trying to divert attention by claiming that they seized money from officials' residences. Minister B. Nagendra had resigned. The money was transferred to fake accounts in Telangana and withdrawn. This money was used to finance the expenses of the Lok Sabha elections,” Vijayendra alleged.

“The agitation will not stop here. Petrol, diesel and milk prices have increased. Following the increase in fuel prices, prices of essential commodities have gone up,” he stated.

“There is an increase in inflation in the state. The Congress government and CM Siddaramaiah are punishing the people. Stamp duty and electricity rates have been increased. The installation price of transformers has been increased from Rs 25,000 to Rs 2.5 lakh. In the name of guarantees the people are deceived. The Congress government, which came to power with an absolute majority, is betraying the state,” Vijayendra said.

“Farmers are facing a crisis due to drought. Seed prices have risen 40 to 50 percent. In these difficult times, the government has not responded. The State is in debt and there is no development,” he stated.
