Bengaluru: Australian batsman Travis Head scored the fourth-fastest century in IP history while Heinrich Klaasen smashed a blazing half-century as Sunrisers Hyderabad posted 287 for 3 against Royal Challengers Bangalore here on Monday. This is the highest score ever in the history of IPL and the second highest score in all formats of T20.

SRH had scored a sensational score of 277/3, repeating the previous record against Mumbai Indians on March 27.

Keeping a cool head, Travis scored a century in 39 balls and shared a 108-run partnership with opener Abhishek Sharma (34) to take the former IPL champion to the record score.

The opener was soon dismissed by Lockie Ferguson for 102 runs (41 balls), hitting eight maximums and nine fours.

However, wicketkeeper-batsman Heinrich Klaasen troubled the RCB bowlers as he scored 67 runs in 31 balls with the help of seven sixes, while the SRH batsmen performed well on the Chinnaswamy pitch.

Aiden Markram (37 not out off 17 balls) and Abdul Samad (37 not out off 1 balls) then finalized SRH's innings.

Brief Score:

Sunrisers Hyderabad 287 runs for 3 wickets in 20 overs (Abhishek Sharma 34, Travis Hee 102, Heinrich Klaasen 67, Aiden Markram 32 not out, Abdul Samad 37 not out, Lockie Ferguson 2/52) vs Royal Challengers Bangalore.
