Jaipur: A traffic constable in Udaipur, Rajasthan has accused a senior office-bearer of harassing him and demanded action in the matter, following which the police has ordered an investigation into the matter.

Udaipur SP Yogesh Yoyal said that after the constable's video surfaced on social media on Monday, he has ordered an investigation into the matter.

The constable, Ashuram, posted a video in which he alleged that he performed his duty in high temperatures amid the scorching heat, but Deputy SP of traffic police, Netrapal Singh, was deliberately targeting him.

He said that the DSP kept abusing him and forcing him to stand in the middle of the road.

In the video, Ashuram can be heard requesting the state DGP and Udaipur SP to appoint RPS (Rajasthan Police Service) officers instead of promoted officers for posts like traffic DSP.
